What is heat transfer vinyl?

Heat transfer vinyl (HTV or iron-on vinyl) is made of PET, PU/PVC, and hot glue. It can be easily cut with your LOKLiK iCraft™, Crafter, Cricut, or Silhouette cutting machine.
When you heat it with a heat press, the vinyl melts and transfers your design onto the fabric of your choice. It works beautifully on various materials such as cotton, polyester, and cotton/poly blends, making it a versatile choice for all your creative projects like T-shirts, bags, cushions, and much more!

Our sturdy heat transfer vinyl is designed to withstand multiple washes without fading, peeling, or cracking.

How to use heat transfer vinyl

Design

Create your design. Make sure your design is mirrored before cutting it.

Cut

Place the material with the matte side up on the cutting mat. Cut out your design with your LOKLiK Crafter, Cricut, or Silhouette cutting machine.

Weed excess vinyl

Remove excess vinyl from the original clear backing sheet.

Press

Place it on your fabric with the transfer sheet facing up. Place a Teflon sheet over it and press it with your heat press according to the recommended temperature settings in the manual*.

Remove

Let your project cool down and peel off the transfer film.

Done!

Your design is ready. If you wish, you can now iron on another color.

*Temperature and settings may vary depending on the material.

Care Instructions

• Wait 24 hours before washing.
• Wash inside out and tumble dry.
• Machine wash cold (30 °C).
• Use a mild detergent. Do not bleach.
• Do not iron directly on the design. Turn it inside out, iron the back, or use a Teflon sheet to protect the design.
